Romance novelist gives $500,000 to local Salvation Army
I never tire of hearing about good things people do for others.
The author, a Washington native who spends part of the year in Port Orchard, wanted the gift to be anonymous. But her spokeswoman confirmed to the Kitsap Sun that Macomber had made the donation.
Macomber’s spokeswoman told seattlepi.com that the author didn’t want any notice.
“It’s almost like a religious thing for her,” said spokeswoman Nancy Berland.
