Born centuries apart, they found love — but could they find a future?

When Lucy Buchanan arrives at the altar for her wedding, she is devastated to discover that her groom has called off the marriage. Desperate to escape the pitying stares, she flees into the woods and discovers a mysterious stone chamber. When she steps through it, Lucy finds herself in 1746 Scotland where she’s almost trampled by a horse — only to be rescued by Rory Munro, the son of a wealthy Highland laird.

Betrayed in the past, Rory guards his heart closely. But when he meets Lucy, something about her breaks down his defenses. As they work together on unraveling the mystery of how Lucy can return to her own time, their two broken hearts dare to love again. But falling in love will only sharpen the pain when Lucy returns to the place she belongs.

"What an original concept! I really enjoyed this book. Not only is the love story between Lucy and Rory sweet and heartwarming, but the time travel aspect adds such a fun facet to the romance. It was a breath of fresh air to read a book that doesn't rely on the usual tropes and isn't afraid to put a new spin on a classic love story. In addition to the main storyline, the author introduces us to secondary characters that really engage the reader. I truly hope the author writes more books in this series because I would love for her to explore the stories and personalities of the other characters."

"A very well-written story with time travel, danger, suspense, drama, a cheater, attempted murder, this story had it all and kept my interest until the end of the book. Lucy Buchanan and Rory Munro's story was one I enjoyed reading. I wonder if there is going to be a story for Angus and maybe Simon and Effie? Wendy, Lucy's Mother and Captain Munro, Rory's Dad also were great supporting people.'

“I enjoyed this book a great deal, From the very beginning when lucy is left at the altar on her wedding day, the story captured my imagination. There is a wonderful cast of characters all well developed, and as the story progresses, Rory and Lucy's story becomes compelling. Loved the twists and turns this story took."
